The Crawling Prism - A Fully Procedural Lifeform Built in Houdini

Hello Everyone,

In this course you will learn how to create a fully procedural lifeform, made of Metal and Glass, entirely within sidefx Houdini.

We will model the organism procedurally and then animate it using Kinefx.

The creature has a glowing core, which generates caustics. You will learn to build procedural floral caustics around it, we will also use cops in this process.

Finally, we will learn to light the scene in a realistic and mysterious way.

You will learn procedural modelling, lighting and FX, all built procedurally.
